I really like this Costa – the cakes, toasties and pastries are always fresh, and the coffee is just right: tasty, not too hot, and never with overheated milk (I make coffee at work too, so I really notice this!). However, I came in today around 4:30 pm and was disappointed to see that, even though the shop closes at 7 pm, staff had already closed off half of the dining area “for evening cleaning” while the place was still full of customers. Doing this at peak time doesn’t feel like the smartest move and makes it harder to enjoy the visit.

Costa, can you train your staff on how to make a proper Cappuccino please. Not only was it made poorl, the coffee was also burnt. You should be embarrassed to serve coffee to that standard.

I have just visited the premises for my first coffee of the day, before ordering i entered the gentlemans toilets to be greeted with a distinct lack of functional facilities for attention to personal hygiene ie no toilet paper, flooded floor and loose leaking taps. Upon informing the management in a pleasant , informative and discreet manner i was greeted with a hostile and abrupt " WE KNOW ".......Is this the level of professionalism we are to expect from a renowned and loved high street chain, or do the franchisees poorly represent the company, in which case head office needs informing.

It was OK, toilets dirty. Told staff but they stood there chatting. Tables needed clearing. But I guess this is the normal standard for all costa's that's why I prefer another coffee shop in Gloucester. Due to the staff being amazing and friendly.
