Popped in for a quick bite to eat on a Saturday. Pub was welcoming and service was decent. But I’m sorry food was poor. I had bangers and mash and my wife had pie and mash. The pie was ok, but my bangers and mash was poor. The cheapest of cheap sausages, mash was defiantly smash. How difficult is a bangers and mash? Atmosphere and staff was fine.

An absolutely gorgeous, warm and cosy pub. Open lit fire, mulled wine, low beams, great atmosphere, delicious food and the service was friendly. Heartily recommend. They accommodated a large party of 19 people last minute at Christmas and everything was absolutely perfect. Thanks for having us! We’ll be back.

young girl behind the bar was our waitress to begin with. she was extremely rude, sighing and rolling her eyes at us, making us as a table feel extremely uncomfortable. she even didnt give us plates for our starters and we were eating off of napkins, when we asked for some side plates she rolled her eyes and said how many. Eventually we had to say something because the tension was so strong and when we asked her if we had done something wrong she replied "I haven't received much respect". to which the attitude continued until management took over and was very apologetic. considering our bill
