We ended up having a family lunch at Pizza Express in Guildford and we absolutely loved it. I expected a bit of a conveyor belt approach, but it was nothing like it. Our waitress was very understanding, professional and attentive. When she noticed that my husband was not back yet from outside when his pizza arrived, she offered to keep it in the kitchen so it doesn't get cold. My warm vegetables and chicken salad was really delicious and Sicilian lemonade so refreshing on a hot day! Pizza Express… but the flavour clearly missed the train. Paper-thin pizza unless you pay an extra £3 for thickness — because apparently dough is a luxury item now. Otherwise, upgrade to a large just to avoid eating pizza-flavoured cardboard. Absolutely tasteless. And I don’t mean “subtle” — I mean where is the flavour? Even the kids’ pizza tasted better, and that was basically a warm sandwich 🥪😂. This was my second visit and, thankfully, my last. Proof that a big franchise name doesn’t equal good food. Had a great experience at Pizza Express. The Lamb Harissa pizza was top notch, and I’d definitely recommend it. Big shoutout to the chefs for such a great pizza. Thank you as well to Mark, Monica, Carmelo, and Louie for the brilliant service. They were all very attentive and made sure everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back again.

Pop in with my Wife and Son for a Saturday Night treat. Table was available slightly early which was nice. Warm and comfortable atmosphere and the staff were very polite and attentive. Food was quick and fresh. All in all, a great meal and with the rewards on the app, a very affordable night out. A special mention to our waitress Nicole. Polite, patient and a great ambassador to the PizzaExpress Brand!
