We loved our trip to Heeley City Farm today 🚜 It's free entry, free parking and lots of fun! There's plenty of animals and you can buy feed for £1.50 as well as having a lovely meal in the cafe ☕️ they have a little garden centre, a park and everyone we met there (volunteers, employees and visitors) were all lovely 🫶

It was a really inspiring and educational visit. I loved feeling the different types of wool. Especially the fine Shalloon!. The piece Hall is like something from a canal letting painting. It was sobering to see how little the artisans were paid compared to the merchants!!! Lovely food at the astronomer....fresh tasty chicken burger for under 8 quid!

My second visit to Piece Hall, this time to watch the mighty Shed Seven. The venue is quite simply stunning. Capacity crowd of 6500, you never feel like you can't move around to get both better views of the stage and to access the beer and food stalls. Toilets are outside the venue and are of the portable variety, so not brilliant but probably best suited to the numbers present. The venue is a beautiful piece of architecture in its own right, so as a concert venue, you are absolutely spoiled.
