Visited on the way home from Hertfordshire Zoo. We were greeted by Giuseppe who was 10/10, very friendly and helpful. We ordered olives and doughballs for starters (we got a 2nd order of doughballs as the kids loved them). The homemade lemonade was also excellent. For fussy eater 3 year old, we ordered the Margherita with less sauce/extra cheese and this went down a treat. 1 year old had tomato pasta. For the adults, the Fussili Aubergine as the vegetarian option was "the best pasta dish" ever, good portion size, very tasty. The star of the show though was the pizza, more specifically The But

This place is lovely. Staff are very friendly, encouraging, and food is wonderful. I believe the price is great for the quality. We had dough balls, calamari, two pasta dishes and two drinks, was less then £60. Came here last year for our first date and here again.

My dining experience at Marcanto: As we entered we were not greeted by a member of staff but they just pointed from across the room for us to sit. When a waitor did arrive they did not make any effort to introduce themself or seem interested in us dining there. We ordered and waited around 15 minutes for our food. Not fast nor slow really.. however, having also noticed a table being served quicker then us who had arrived later. We ordered 2 steak penne pasta and 1 margarita pizza. The steak came watery, drenched in sauce with the steak well overcooked. The pizza came floppy, buttery and real
