Went to Watts Cafe on Saturday around Lunch time. I had a Chilli Con Carne with a deluxe Hot Chocolate and my other half ordered a Classic Watts Breakfast with a green tea. Even with the cafe being busy drinks were brought out quickly as was the food shortly thereafter. The food was delicious as was the hot chocolate, not watery like you get in other places.

I haven't been to this place since it changed hands until today and I can't say I'm happy with my experience. I went in with another person and neither of our drinks selections were available. We figured no big deal, we'll choose something else. When our second drink choices arrived to our tables I couldn't believe the state of our glassware. My mother had a chipped saucer and the spout of her milk jug was crusted with rancid milk. My drinking glass was dirty, as was the sugars pot and sauces pot. The sugar pot was especially bad and looked like it had been spat on. We requested replacements

When the recommendation comes from the local fruit and veg market traders, you know you're in for a treat. And Jaceys did not disappoint. There was a cost and welcoming atmosphere, even on a wet and chilly saturday morning. The food is reasonably priced and the portions were fantastic for the money. I had a fry up, and the quality of the sausages was a good indication of what was to come. The black pudding was thin and crispy on the outside, but not completely dry. And the beans were lovely and jammy. The pot of tea made three cups for me to enjoy throughout. All in all, a great place for a mo
