huisze Song★★★★★We stumbled on The Minerva whilst looking for fish n chips! Such a lovely old establishment with interesting tables in alcoves/nooks. And the music (80-90s) is pleasant without the loud clamour you will usually find in pubs. We ordered the signature fish n chips, soup of the day, Mediterranean Vegetarian Tomato soup and a cajun chicken salad. The cajun chicken was a tad bit too hard but the rest was ok. The haddock was fried to perfection. The home made chips were delish. If we are ever in Hull again, we will definitely eat the fish n chips again at The Minerva! It faces the Humber.

If you go at popular times you might think about booking a table. Two burgers (beef and halloumi, pepper and mushroom) with a pint and two halves came to less than £40. It’s years since I ate here, I won’t be waiting years before going back.
