Travelled over from Saddleworth to see The Guilty Men - what a brilliant, intimate venue this is. Can't believe I've missed this place and all the great people they've had on here... Warner E. Hodges, Curved Air, John Otway... amazing! As for the Guilty Men, what a breath of fresh air. Well crafted songs with a cheeky nod to the past and a wry look at the world today and relationships gone wrong. Five mellifluous (blimey, that's a posh word innit?) musicians and thoroughly nice guys to boot. The staff are really friendly and there's a veritable cornucopia of real ales on offer - when we visit

A lively, friendly, atmospheric pub with a decent selection of ales. There is an under 18 curfew at 8pm which makes for a family friendly daytime venue and a 'proper pub' later on. Great idea! I didn't experience the food or the live music but both come highly recommended.

I’ve been to The Greystones several times now to see bands in the Backroom venue. The pub has a great atmosphere and a good range of beers. It’s a “proper” pub, a place where people go for a drink and a chat - no loud music in the bar! The Backroom venue puts on regular gigs and I’ve seen some fantastic bands there, including Chuck Prophet, The Cinelli Brothers, Geraint Watkins and more.
