Amazing Malaysian food and brilliant service! The kindest people. Super clean, super warm and delicious! Extremely affordable and it’s also a social enterprise! They treated us so kindly, celebrating a birthday as a big group and gave us traditional Malaysian prawn crackers and dessert on the house (banana buttons)! Suitable for family, friends, couples and kids!

I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel that Makan Cafe truly deserves all the praise. In the past few years, it feels like restaurants and cafes invest more on the aesthetics of their establishment rather than the quality of their food service. Quite frankly, I am tired of going to eat out only to receive small portions of food for extortionate prices in an overly-decorated, frilly and overhyped restaurant. Warm greetings from the Jama Family to Mama Makan and her lovely Daughter it was a joy meeting you after having some of the most delicious food we've ever had . We loved the authentic malaysian dishes which are so varied and flavoursome, we were spoilt for choice! The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere felt so cosy and inviting. Unfortunately we devoured the food before we had a chance to take pictures but absolutely would recommend for anyone thinking to go there. You won't regret it!
