My late husband and our close friend used to work in a small space opposite this lovely bakery. When I popped in to see them, he would treat us to their hot sausage rolls and delicious cakes. With such a large variety, it wasn't easy not to get carried away 😋😋

I visit Ayres bakery for years, the ladies are very welcoming and kind, the pastries are always fresh and the best doughnut ever. My son loves the 'bakery day' and enjoy the chocolate shortbread cookie.

I normally visit the Eltham branch (which is brilliant by the way) but this branch does not live up to the same experience. Visited the branch and hardly anything on the shelves despite it not closing for an hour and a half, asked if they could make a filled baguette for me but was told they can't as they're nearly closing?????? I brought a baguette that was already on the shelf as I was hungry but it wasn't anything special, won't be back.
