I visited The Roebuck (Wetherspoon) and had a really good experience. The place has a nice, relaxed atmosphere and is a great spot to meet friends or just enjoy a casual meal. The food was good for the price and the menu had plenty of options. Our order arrived quickly and everything was fresh and well prepared. I am used to constantly being called ‘guys’ by staff when I go out to lunch with my elderly mother, despite us stating that we don’t like it and my Mother also saying every single time that she does not accept such a crass, lazy and inaccurate Americanism. However, what we object to is the staff debating with us that it is generally acceptable to call us that! We are individuals and don’t all accept what we see in American movies and social media as a result of laziness! In a world where we can be called what we want surely an 88 year old woman can ask not to be included in the greeting ‘guys’

Lovely pub but we only popped in for a cuppa. We really felt relaxed in The Roebuck & would definitely recommend it. We didn't have a chance to eat here so can't comment on the food. We were there around 10am so it was quiet. The eveycould be another story.

Had a lovely lunch today, ramen noodles were absolutely delicious 😋 and everyone enjoyed their food. Extremely good value for money. All the staff were really friendly and the toilets were clean. We will definitely go back again.
