What can I say to Steve and the team, especially Grace. We had the unfortunate circumstances of organising my late brothers wake. We chose the Chase. So glad we did. Steve right from the start, listened to our wishes, gave helpful advise and had total empathy for the sad circumstances. He went above and beyond to make the sad occasion a celebration of my late brothers life with dignity. Grace helped by placing my late brothers photos around the room. Steve kindly let us use the T.V to link up a video from our lap top. Food was great and served on time at an excellent price. Steve and Grace j

A lovely looking pub, with interesting decoration. Several screens showing sports, including one out in the beer garden. Quite a big parking area around the back. Shame there isn't much of a view considering how close to the edge of the Chase it is... Food was good, various offers on during the day. Friendly staff. The only downside I had was a dodgy pint of ale, I got it changed but (my fault got confused) changed it for the same one which was worse and drank some of it but it gave me a dodgy tummy later. I think everyone else in the pub was drinking lager...

Everything was top notch apart from one thing. The staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The food and drink were great and we were checked on a couple of times to make sure everything was ok. The only negative was the sticky table. It felt uncleaned, but as soon as it was mentioned, a lady came to give it a good wipe - saying the cleaning fluid had reacted with the varnish. We will definitely be back!
