We hosted our wedding reception at Papillon in April 2026 and we had the best day of our lives. The whole day felt extremely well organised, and it all went very smoothly. We were especially impressed with all of the staff on the day – they were really friendly and helpful, allowing us to enjoy our day, with the odd request for extra cocktails and emergency coffees thrown in! Went for a Mother’s Day meal and overall had a lovely experience. We waited a little while to be seated, but when we arrived at the table there was a Mother’s Day card signed by all the staff, which was a really thoughtful touch. Jayson was our server and I honestly couldn’t fault him – he was amazing. We had a child with us and they brought over little bags filled with goodies, which was such a nice surprise. I came to Papillon for my birthday lunch and would absolutely recommend! We were served by Jayson and had a lovely experience throughout. The restaurant itself is a stunning converted church and the food was delicious. I was presented with a personalised card and flower on arrival and service was excellent. We had the mussels and seafood linguine and could not recommend enough. Will definitely be returning again

We were a party of 5 adults and 4 young children and on our first visit to the Papillon. Each of the children were given a fabulous bag full of" little bits and bobs" on arrival. These they loved and kept them busy for the whole time. The meals were delicious. All arrived at the same time, piping hot. The little details were noted and appreciated. The desserts were scrumptious and attractively presented. The "ladies" was spotless and had an interesting basket of extras. Everything was thought of.
