We recently visited Shanghai 1814 for a friend’s birthday, and it was our first time there — it definitely won’t be the last. The food was absolutely incredible — genuinely the nicest Chinese food I’ve ever had. Every dish was packed with flavour, and the portions were massive. We actually struggled to get through it all, which is never a bad problem to have! On top of that, it was really good value for money considering the quality and quantity of food. Fabulous restaurant in Southampton city center, walking distance from west quay. Absolutely gorgeous decor and equally delicious food. I can't sing praises enough for the food here, loved the satay chicken skewers and the sauce was divine 😋. Waiter was very attentive and portion sizes fair. Will 100% be back if in Southampton.
