First time visiting since revamp & omg it was fantastic. The carvery was very fresh & tasty, the med veg gratin potatoes were amazing & highly recommended. We also had puds which went down a storm, Bruce’s cake & woodies ice cream (see pics). The staff were all friendly & helpful, the atmosphere was light, definitely recommend & will be returning.

I took a group of residents from a care centre (15 People) for a 3 course Christmas Meal. Everyone enjoyed all the meals and said they tasted lovely, most cleared their plates. The staff and management were excellent, waited until everyone had finished their meal before removing any plates before the next was served which was great, every course was served with a smile and the staff were very polite and helpful. The Manager has a great team alongside her, well done foraking everyone happy. Look forward to returning in the near future

Anther visit to the castle for food and drinks with friends and dogs, whilst we were there we saw first hand Angela one of the staff going above and beyond with a blind guy who turned up by himself for food by taxi. You would think the taxi would bring him to the door but she fetched him from the car park and returned him there for his journey home. You would think the taxi company would arrange a collection and drop off door to door knowing he is blind but appears they didnt get the email.
