I know it's not wetherspoons anymore but the prices??? Where do I start 3 different prices for same round of drinks and its not that cheap. Ran out of certain drinks to. Apparently its down to the tills not being ready and loaded up with the right prices? Staff done there best to sort it ll out. How's this possible? Nothing done apart from a quick clean and a couple of new tvs (which are showing football) New owners/management have opened today to capitalise on a home game when clearly not prepared or ready. First time in Sunderland. Fab pub. Memu what you would expect from a weather spoons. Nice lay out. No walking a million miles to the toilet. Nice staff. Very professional and welcoming.

Only my second ever visit to this Spoons. A first for Booth and Alic. A very typical Spoons in what was once a furniture store. Doing a good trade before noon. Lots of families enjoying a late breakfast. Had a pint of SIBA Gold Star award winning dark session ale, Sirius Dog Star 4.4% by Wolf brewery. £2.78 less a 50p CAMRA voucher discount. Nice and refreshing. One of those bars where people queue to be served.

This was a superb pub for drinking, with a stylish red and white colour scheme furthered by the accompanying lights! The pillars in the middle and book shelves on the sides are interesting features, counter is well-presented itself. Staff were friendly, who served me a Stowford Press and the area was kept very clean!
