Very disappointing experience at McDonald’s Kingstanding drive-thru. I tried to pay with American Express, which was clearly shown as accepted, but staff refused and said the manager instructed them not to take it. When I asked the manager for an explanation, she was rude, refused to give her name, and became aggressive. When I started recording for my own protection, she told me I wasn’t allowed and shut the window while I was still speaking. i live local to this mcdonald’s, used to be my favourite mcdonald’s when i was little. food was always hot, great atmosphere but the last few years it’s gone extremely downhill. when i order from here for delivery, they take ages to get here (i get that there’s traffic) but the food is stone cold and soggy. i’ve specified no ice, and there’s about a 50% chance they’ll still put ice in it, no big deal i can take the ice out. The new grinch meal… Who decided to create such a menu? First off, the grinch lemonade was not even a lemonade but rather it was overly sour, full of sugar and a nasty aftertaste of apple. Secondly, the seasoning is probably the worst out of the whole grinch menu. Who on earth makes pickle seasoning and places it on fries? IT DIDNT TASTE GOOD. There was a way to make this taste better and you somehow failed?! Actually disgusting I’m so disappointed since the seasoning packets are new to the UK yet you still failed to make it taste good. Local McDonald's in my area, suppose to be fast food, but waiting times longer than in proper restaurant, once waited 45 minutes (they forgot). Every single time when ordered something missing, from as little as syrup to whole meal or happy meal, especially annoying when ordering delivery and then coming partial order. Any complain ignored, managers arrogant and finally now news about mice 🤢. McDonald's company issued my as apology free meal vouchers not going to use them here, actually this restaurant must be shut down for good.
