Love a classic greasy spoon and this one didn't disappoint on that front. Good value, good portions. Decent size addition of black pudding to the big breakfast. Staff were good. Cool old building and nice location, lots of parking. Couple of negatives. Hash brown literally dripping oil. But much even for me. It's not about sachets these days. I like a good dollop of sauce and they are so wasteful. Some areas felt a little grubby. I know times are hard for hospitality, but a clean and maybe a lick of paint in a couple of spots wouldn't go amiss.

Food was ok not great, Coffee average. Seemed a bit cheap on the ingredients. Service was very pleasant. This place really needs a cleanup. The surrounding area has so much potential but sadly due food quality and hygiene I don’t think we will come back.

Good place to go for something comforting and straightforward within an interesting restored building at nene retail park . Great selection of things to eat and drink both hot and cold ordering at counter then brought to table . Service was good , the food with most things is done to order and was really tasty,filling and decent sized portions . This place seems to have a following and very popular which is clear too see why along with an active atmosphere makes for a great visit if in the area

Always good service and great food. The food is well cooked and presented. There is often more than we can eat. The staff are always friendly and it is often very busy, but worth waiting. I would recommend The Pump House.
