A surprise meal for my birthday - I had no idea what to expect but I was absolutely blown away by the experience. I'm struggling to find the words to encapsulate how incredibly out of this world this culinary experience was. Every finite detail was carefully thought through, the staff imparted their impeccable knowledge of each component to the dishes, the drinks and of course - the Story -behind how the chefs have curated their menu. Visited this restaurant for the first time after hearing amazing reviews. The only option was an eight course tasting menu, so allow yourself sufficient time to appreciate it fully. A story behind every course (hence the name of the restaurant), even down to the ‘snacks’. There is no menu as such as the dishes change according to what is in season at the time. I loved the whimsical touches such as the ‘Storeo’ and ‘Halftime Oranges’. The service was impeccable; very professional but also very friendly. It’s hard to describe how amazing and perfect our evening was at Restaurant Story. Without doubt this is one of the best restaurants in London. The food is out of this world. So many amazing examples of phenomenal cooking. The 8 course tasting menu just keeps on going with all of the snacks and treats added in throughout the meal.
