Beautiful room, gorgeous pub, great food - breakfast was fantastic. Small plates fish & chips was generous and delicious. Brilliant location for exploring the city. Room was very quiet overnight too. Was not a problem for us, but might not suit some people as access to upper rooms is stairs only with some heavy doors separating floors.

We stayed here for the evening and it was lovely and in a really good location with good parking just down the road. Our room was extremely clean and well decorated. It had everything we needed, tea and coffee, a hairdryer, lovely shower cream and soaps and a very comfy bed! The pub itself was really nice a friendly too. Considering the rooms are above the pub, our room was lovely and quiet and the views are great too ☺️ Our breakfast the next morning was delicious too, we would 100% stay here again when visiting this beautiful place.

My daughter and I stayed here the night before her wedding. We chose it for its location and so glad we did. The room was tastefully decorated and spotlessley clean. We received such a warm welcome from Ben and his team, who were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely meal the night before and a very tasty buffet laid on for the wedding. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and bar.

We had an excellent two-night stay at the Westgate. Our room was right in front overlooking the street, but it was still quiet. Great amenities in the room: water, biscuits, toiletries for shower, coffee & tea. The included breakfast was outstanding, and we also ate dinner in the pub one night- delicious meal and great service. Parking in the paid carpark across the street was very convenient. I highly recommend the Westgate.
