Visited The Woods restaurant on Saturday afternoon for lunch, and as always, the food was amazing. Freshly prepared by some quality chefs, and the portions were plentiful. All served in rustic metal camp style plates and bowls, perfectly fitting to the decor of the restaurant, which I was told by Ava, our waitress, has recently had a light refurb. I have been coming to The woods for a fair few years now. I have never had any issues before, in-fact, I raved about this place and recommended it to many family and friends in the past. (The mozzarella bites were epic). My most recent visit brings me on to this low review. The food was undercooked, the service was poor and the management didn’t seem to know what they were doing. This one bad experience made me realise that it’s not what it used to be. Update to below review... have returned many times since, sampling most of the menu. It seems to only get better each time?! Amazing food and spectacular service, will definitely return. We had a takeout from them during lockdown which was average (put it down to sweating in the bag in the car on the way home) and promised ourselves we'd give it another go once it opened properly, so glad we did!!
