The beef barbacoa is something special! The meat is so tender and totally loaded with flavor. Would say the bread couldn’t quite hold it all together (which means they don’t skimp on the meat which is great), but would be awesome to have an option of getting it in a wrap for a burrito!

We loved our visit to the Shambles and what made it even better was grabbing a sandwich from Shambles kitchen. Its an absolute must visit when you're in York and can see why they have such great reviews. The portion sizes are really generous and taste amazing. The bread is soft, just what you want from a good sarnie!

Kept seeing it on social media so I tried it…SENSATIONAL!! I got the beef barbacoa (smoked brisket) sandwich and it was so good!!! The staff were so friendly and kind! Very quick service!! Would definitely recommend going if you’re in the area

Bang for your buck. One sandwich fed two people super yummy but a little hard to bite into as it’s so big. Only downside is that the street itself is super busy and there’s no place to sit so only nice on a sunny day.
