Ordered a cheeseburger only ketchup no LTO, well done, with fries. Got a patty by itself on a plate.... thought I was being pranked by someone but no. Had to ask where the bun was and server was quite confused and then brought out a bun that I had to assemble myself. Then again had to ask where the fries were and eventually got them. To top it off patty wasn't well done. Server never came by again to check on drinks refills or anything, perhaps too embarrassed or just not good service not sure.

I had a very disappointing experience at Texas Roadhouse in Ames. While eating my Caesar salad, I found a bug in it (photo attached). I understand mistakes can happen, but what was most disappointing was how the situation was handled. There was no apology, no concern shown, and no attempt to make it right—not even a discount or any other gesture. Finding an insect in your food is upsetting enough, but the lack of customer service afterward made the experience even worse. I expected much better and won’t be returning.

It was my first time and it won't be my last. The steak was perfect along with my sweet potato and Caesar salad. Very nice place. And yes, the butter is as good as people say. I took a tub home on my carry on on the plane lol.

I went to celebrate a birthday on Friday afternoon with 6 people. We were seated pretty quickly and our server was very kind. However, the kitchen was not keeping up and many things were sent out incorrectly. Many items were completely left off the order. For instance, the steak came out for one person, but their chili and applesauce were missing. Just a sad, lonely steak on a plate. The steaks were not as good as I remember them to be, they were dry and all were overcooked.
