I came here with a friend for the very first time for a brunch. The food was absolutely wonderful! I had the gyro meal and the meat melted in my mouth! Everything was well seasoned and the servings were large. The price was very, very reasonable. It was packed, so we had to wait a little for our food but they kept us supplied with coffee until it was ready! Very welcoming and comfortable environment. Good place to visit with family or friends, plus friendly and efficient service. I think this is our new favorite restaurant !

I saw this restaurant recommended on a Facebook thread, and it did not disappoint. We knew when we drove into a full parking lot on a Thursday morning that it was going to be good. Light, crispy waffles; perfectly done French toast; delicious bacon and sausage; and one of the best steaks we have ever had. Staff were friendly. Very home-cafe atmosphere; lots of chatter. Prices were good, considering the large portions. This is a don't-miss. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Appleton.

I found this place in Appleton wisconsin. I needed a restaurant that oped around 5am. This was the only one near downtown Appleton. My friend and I both got the Black Bear breakfast with choice of pancakes or French Toast, choice of 2 eggs, potatoes, and a meat. The home frie potatoes were not greasy at all like other places. The other food items tasted like any other one. Very friendly staff! This place can fit a lot of hungry humans.

Just got back from breakfast at the Black Bear Family Restaurant and I already cannot wait to go back! The food is delicious, and the prices are fantastic!
