I recently visited Jalapeños Downtown and unfortunately the experience was disappointing overall. The restaurant itself felt quite dirty, which made it hard to fully enjoy the meal. Cleanliness is really important to me, and this location did not meet expectations. The food was also very salty and tasted low quality. The flavors didn’t feel fresh or well-balanced, and it wasn’t what I was hoping for. That said, the service was good. The staff were polite and attentive, and they did their best. I hope management takes steps to improve the cleanliness and food quality, because the service tea

Tasty food and nice view. The 4 is us shared the biggest burrito in Bellingham and we added queso on top. Definitely could be split into 6 pieces, we had about 2 servings left over. Also had the Mango and Habenero Margherita which was SPICY, I'm fine with everything spicy but this was a notch above.

I've lived in thos area for 14 years, and FINALLY had my first visit to Jalepeños. Cute lil place with a view of Bellingham Bay. Clean restrooms and atmosphere, daily specials. I ordered the "build your own combo", shredded beef enchiladas with refried beans. Order came out hot and bubbly, exactly how I ordered it. The salsa is DELICIOUS, chunky nummy salsa. The shredded beef in my enchiladas appears to be seasoned or marinated, it isn't all dry and stuck together (like I've had elsewhere). My water was refilled promptly without me even having to ask, prices are comparable. Will def be back!

The service was great, and the food we ordered was good. The only downsides were that the salsa didn't taste very fresh, and the soda was $5, which felt a bit overpriced. Overall, we still had a good experience.
