Very charming little restaurant. Everything is well made, but I found the potato balls lacking a little bit of flavor, even though they are unique. Wonderful staff and clearly care about their customers and the food. $24ish total for the fried chicken sandwich and potato balls. Definitely recommend coming by if you’re in Oakland.

The flavor is solid in *most* bites! I had the fried buttermilk chicken filet with cole slaw on French roll (fancy way to say chicken sando 🤣). The bread was fluffy with every bite, and the flavor palette works really well between the classic well-seasoned chicken patty and cole slaw combo. To be nit picky, the proportions are a little off: 1. There was too much bread for the amount of meat and coleslaw. The cole slaw could be kept better in the sandwich if it was more finely chopped. Zut alors! Gregoire is the place to eat in Berkley. A menu for everyone. Fresh cooked to order food. We had Salmon salad, Steak sandwich, Chicken sandwich, and Lamb sandwich. All delicious. And of course the potato puffs - already legendary in Berkley.
