Had dinner here twice while in town. First night, no reservation, but they had a 2 top available on main floor. Second night we made a reservation downstairs for the piano experience. Both were great! The food, so delicious. I highly recommend the veganized fried rice. Spicy edamame, and the tofu dish. Things were clearly marked vegan, including dessert.

I had an opportunity to try Hobgoblin and i have to say overall I enjoyed myself. I was greeted promptly but when the hostess was sidetracked another person jumped right in (appreciated)! The music was loud enough to hear but not overbearing to the point you can't have a conversation. The main dining area is small, you may or may not feel as if you too close to the person sitting next to you. The wait staff were prompt with taking our order, recommendations, etc. For our meal we opted for the chicken spring rolls and waygu dumplings to start, both delicious. Interesting ambience, food was meh. Limited vegetarian choices and they were not willing To modify any of the other dishes to accommodate. Ordered the mango salad, lacking in flavor and acid, and pad Thai - very mid with minimal tofu or eggs or vegetables. The drinks were interesting. They were out of the traditional dessert and thus got the salted caramel cake-Twinkie-ish with a huge dollop of caramel sauce. Was good.

Loved the atmosphere! Very friendly staff. Great vibes and cocktails. Bar is amazing. Food was only 4/5 due to price. Great location. Enjoy!
