I don’t like bloated reviews so here’s the TL;DR. Excellent food, great service in a perfectly sized downtown restaurant. I had the chicken fried chicken which was absolutely perfectly tender and done and smothered with an excellent white sauce that compliments rather than overwhelms. The green beans side are new-south cooked with old-south grilled diced onion and jalapeños. Excellent flavors. We had two deserts: coconut crème pie and Key Lime. You can’t go wrong with either. Great crust on the key lime. Great custard in the coconut.

We love Lucy's! We normally have Nickolas as our server and looked forward to seeing him tonight. We even brought in our Celina-opoly game for him to sign the board where Lucy's on the Square is. Unfortunately he wasn't working tonight. However, we were waited on by John. He was great as well. We have actually never had bad service or food here. I am a fan of the burgers, wraps and strawberry pecan salad. My wife loves the soups and chocolate cream pie. Whatever you're into, Lucy's doesn't disappoint.

We stopped in for a late lunch after a soccer game. We were the only people in the restaurant. You could easily tell if we needed anything but our server hovered. She should have just sat down with us. We ordered the Dagwood and the “homemade” back bean burger. I say it that way since I asked if they were made in house, she said yes, nope. The decor is what you would expect at a diner in Texas. They do have a bar so if you want a cocktail or to watch the game step on in. Might want to ask your sever if they would like to join you.
