I’m originally born and raised in Cleveland, but haven’t lived here in 20yrs. I’m here for the film festival and remembered how much I loved Mr. Hero growing up so I ordered my fav combo (Chicken Philly combo with cheese sauce for the waffle fries). I was worried that after so much time maybe the taste and quality of the food had changed, but when I tell you it was still BOMB 💣. It was so delicious. I’m way more health conscious, but this cheat meal was well worth it. Wish we had Mr. Hero in every state.

The food is okay. I ordered the zesty bacok Swiss sandwich, and I only wanted the meat, cheese, and a little extra raspberry chipotle sauce. I received the DRIEST sandwich EVER!! NO SAUCE. If you go here please check your food thoroughly. I received meat and cheese, lol. I used the Mr. Hero app to order my food to start building points, they didn't give me any but had no problem charging my card. Do not use their app for your order either. There is nowhere to park, so I had to park illegally to grab my food.

This Mr. Hero caused severe food poisoning for myself and a family member. Ordered Philly cheesesteaks and the symptoms came in three hours after consumption and resulted in a high fever the next day. The cheesesteaks didn't taste bad, nor did they smell strange. This Mr. Hero is a counter within the Downtown Convenience and outside of the store is a bus stop, where sketchy people seem to hang out at night. It also took a while for the sandwiches to be made.
