As a Texan who has been on the road for over a decade, I will highly recommend Captain John's Bar-B-Que. Bobby at VIP Indoor Storage in Collierville told us about it so we had to go (he is the best and we highly recommend the facility). The pulled pork sandwich with fried okra and potato salad that tasted homemade times two is what my husband and I ordered. The food was fresh, hot, and seriously scrumptious. Food was good. Sauce was great but they need to rename their “8 pack” to “3 1/2 pack”. I paid a lot of money and had people from out of town at home waiting for food and well…. How embarrassing to talk up a place and get home and can’t even feed 5 people. If you go here do yourself a favor and order 1 sandwich at a time. It was good but someone needs to supervise that as I could have ordered 1 pound received more meat and paid a hellava lot less.

My 2nd time going there and this time I tried the BBQ sandwich with baked beans and onion rings and I was impressed. The sandwich was large, just how I like 'em, and the it was very good as well as the rest. Definitely gonna stop by the next time I'm in the area. Sorry I didn't take a picture but I was too busy stuffing my face 😅

My husband and I eat at Capt Johns nearly every week. We love Abe and the entire staff! Great food. Not greasy. Doesn't make me sick. My favs are cheeseburgers, fries, bbq sandwich plate, and fried chicken sandwich plate in that order. 💙
