Vanessa was an amazing bartender and made one of the best espresso martinis I’ve had. She also recommended the crab cakes, and I’m so glad I ordered them because they were delicious. I loved the overall vibe, decor, and beautiful view. Everyone there was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The salesperson at Cathy’s Boutique and Gifts recommended this place to me, and I’m so glad she did. I’ll definitely be coming back! Make sure to request Vanessa for the espresso martini.

This is a delightful, little restaurant were you can get seafood Tapas (small portions) and cocktails and light desserts. The view from of the Corpus Christi Bay from the balcony dining area is beautiful. The sea breeze makes dining in the shade comfortable. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. This a place to go to when you want a light meal and refreshments. My wife and I enjoyed thier crab cakes (excellent), red snapper (excellent) and coconut cream brulee (excellent).

The Mariner is a real gem in Corpus. Right on the bay with views out to the water and of the sailboats. This is a drinks and tapas type place. We had the shrimp, crab cakes, and lamb sliders. Desert was homemade strawberry ice cream and the coconut crème brule. All very high quality coupled with the nice outdoor table. A good date place. They have an interesting selection of tiki drinks, the “pain killer” a favorite. The smoked old fashion also really good. Highly recommended!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the views overlooking Corpus Christi Bay are beautiful. The Mariner feels like an upscale dive bar, located on the second floor of a houseboat above a gift shop. It's an adults-oriented bar with tapas dishes. Based on the reviews, I had high expectations and went out of my way to go here. I had expected something a bit more elegant, although the food itself was anything but pedestrian. I envisioned something more akin to fine dining, especially considering the price. The restaurant is small, but the tables are smaller, making it difficult to fit all the plates. The service itself was fine, what you would expect from a bar restaurant (mostly bar), and a bit slow. The food itself looked great, but it just wasn’t that good, and we were HUNGRY! I expected to like it a lot more than I did, considering the ratings and the photos. It seems like a great bar to have a drink and get a small bite, but if you're looking for an elegant seafood restaurant, you should avoid it. I came for the food, and while I have no specific complaints, it didn't reson
