Poor David's is a longtime Dallas venue for live music that has been housed in various locations over the years. Check their website calendar for scheduled musicians. No food service, but you can bring in outside food. Don't expect fancy cocktails here as most patrons favor beer, but I have gotten a serviceable Old Fashioned.

One of the best live music venues in the city, Poor David's is the place for true blue music lovers. There isn't a bad seat in the house, and whether you splurge on front row seats (which are always reasonably priced) or stick with GA, you're never settling for a bad convert experience. Most shows attract an older crowd that prefers to sit and listen, but the acts aren't stale or stuffy. This was an awesome experience tonight! We came to see our friend sing #JBJTinman and I was pleasantly surprised by everyone that I interacted with. Everyone was very kind and very polite and very informative. Both of the bartenders were awesome! And the guys that were running the front door were kind and awesome as well. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean, for being a bar. And it actually exceeded my expectations. One thing to keep in mind is that they don’t sell food here. I thought they did. But they don’t.
