Truly disappointing experience at the Downers Grove Panera on Lemont Rd. My 9:02 am order on 5/6/26 was a joke. Just look at the photo, this is what they are serving for breakfast. I received a pathetic amount of avocado that was poorly spread, and the presentation was a total mess. It is thin, poorly prepared, and honestly embarrassing. I’ve always expected better quality from Panera, but this was a complete waste of money.

I get a bigger piece of avocado toast at dunkin with bacon. $4.61 for the next to end piece of bread is this the normal size people get for the cost of a loaf of bread? Then it took 5 mins to get it I was watching the screen with the timer!

The food was fresh and delicious like most Panera locations. What this place made it more special for me was prepared faster than expected, the side apple was freshly washed and my espresso was in a ceramic small cup not in large paper cup.

I normally dine out! So never really had any interactions with the employees, I will say that yesterday something minor happened, and the night manager Matt hoped right on top of things! His energy and customer service skills are what most places are lacking these days! So just wanted to say Shout out to the nighttime manager Matt! You’re a very nice person and I hope your pillow stays cool every night this summer! ✨
