How have I lived here all my life and not known about this local jem. I learned about it from someone I talked to on a flight who said they were the best buritos ever. If you don’t know what you're looking for you may miss it. As we walked up and the hubs looked in the door, he questioned my choice. There is graffiti all over the walls and doesn’t look like anything good would be there. This was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had from a Mexican restaurant. The quesadilla arrived half unfolded and completely falling apart like it had been thrown together with no care at all. The cheese wasn’t even melted, which should be the bare minimum for a quesadilla, and the chicken was so dry it was hard to eat. To make it worse, there were no condiments included — no sour cream, no pico de gallo, nothing. The queso tasted like plain melted Velveeta cheese with zero flavor or effort put into it. This place is a total dive hidden in cubby with a staircase that looks like you're heading into an underground concert venue. We ordered the Giant Steak Chimichanga and the Old School Chicken Burrito for about $30. Both were excellent and ready in about 5 min. Chimichanga was piping hot and the steak was seasoned really well, in addition to being the size of my forearm (I'm a large 6'4 for reference). The burrito came with chips and salsa as well. Looks shady as heck, but is totally worth the visit.
