This was a fantastic meal that I didn’t expect when I looked for a lunch spot on a weekday. The staff was incredible, making recommendations as to what I might like while not being pushy, and then took the time to answer some questions that I had since I hadn’t had a chance to try Venezuelan food before. I would highly encourage anyone to try Teque Arepa out if they have a chance, as it’s one of the only true Venezuelan restaurants in the state!

So sad that we don’t have any good Venezuelan restaurants in Minnesota. I’ve tried pretty much all of them, and they’ve all been disappointing. This one, as soon as you walk in, smells like grease and burnt oil. I mean, they had just opened and it already smelled like they had fried hundreds of empanadas. I walked out smelling greasy myself. The food was also very greasy. We had empanadas con carne molida, and they felt like a bad Colombian empanada. The outside wasn’t crunchy, and the meat was plain ground beef with no seasoning at all. The tequeños were great. The cachapa wasn’t that bad

This place is absolutely delicious! The staff are great, always happy to walk you through the menu (which I may have needed once or twice ), very welcoming and warm so newcomers have nothing to worry about. The arepas are fantastic, the meat is tender and flavorful while the toppings are always fresh. I have tried just about everything on the menu and I have no complaints. Every order is made fresh so expect to wait but it makes all the difference for both service and quality for this little gem.

Been to this astounding arepas outpost a couple times now, with each time just as consistent and flavorful as the last. The arepas are jam packed with all the fixins- meat, cheese, plantains, what ever your heart desires. Would highly recommend you give this place a try if you’re contemplating it.
