Love Insomnia Cookies! Been to a few locations around the country and always seem to have a consistent experience which I love. This location is no exception to that. Walked up to an inviting store front and when walking in was invited in with a lovely smell of freshly baked cookies. Was immediately welcomed as I came in the door with a smile and helped with my order. The girl helping was quick to answer all my questions and got me in and out quickly. I went in on a Saturday evening after dinner with a couple friends. The place was clean and had a relaxed vibe, not too loud and not too crowded either. I ordered a slice of chocolate cake and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. The cake was moist and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. My friend got a fruit tart and said the crust tasted fresh. Service was polite and fairly quick, even with a small line forming. Prices felt reasonable for the portion sizes. It’s not the kind of place that tries too hard, just solid desserts done right. My husband and I stop by there every time we are in that part of town at night. Not only do they have amazing cookies and brownies (I recommend the brookie), but they also have what is called "Superman Ice cream". I was so thrilled when I found this out because I have never seen that ice cream outside of Michigan, and as a Michigan native, it was a wonder and a nostalgic reminder of home.
