I am not affiliated with Villa Meola Coffee in any way. I just really enjoyed the place and the story behind it... and it was very toddler friendly on a hot Arizona summer day. Villa Meola Coffee is one of those local Gilbert spots that feels thoughtful from the moment you walk in. The owners, a husband and wife with kids, built the restaurant around their own Italian heritage and the kind of warm, welcoming place they would want to bring their own family while out on the town. That personal connection shows in the name, the menu, the atmosphere, and the way the space feels more like being welcomed into someone’s home than just stopping at a coffee shop. The gelato is fantastic, and the coffee is delicious, creative, and clearly made with care. The fresh baked goods are another standout, and the menu feels inspired by family, heritage, and comfort without feeling generic. Such a great local spot! This family-owned coffee shop run by a husband and wife is a real gem. The coffee was absolutely delicious! It was rich and perfectly made and the breakfast pizza was so good, fresh, flavorful, and comforting. You can really feel the love and care they put into everything. Warm atmosphere and great people! My friends who, like me, enjoy going to new coffee shops met today at Villa Mella Coffee. We were immediately greeted by super friendly people behind the counter in a room that two other food businesses share. The room has yellow subway tile and has lemon/citrus decore. It feels like my grandmother's So-Cal kitchen (in the best way). Taking this citrus theme to the drinks, my friend got a lemon cold foam on his cold brew that I am going to try next time- he loved it. As we were visiting, the owner let us try their tiramisu which was amazing ! It was super light and tasty- something great for a quick late morning treat. The breakfast pizza is great too- it has scrambled egg as sauce and cheese like a pizza. The bread is a thick slice making the whole pizza quite a bit of food. Overall, we will be back whenever we go to DT Gilbert. The location is amazing and has a patio for customers to use. The shop has amazing workers, good food, and good coffee. I get the feeling this is a newer shop
