On a Saturday afternoon, after a walk in the neighborhood, I was looking for a place to sit, read my book, and enjoy a coffee. I chose Manhattanville Coffee and was very happy with my choice. The coffee was excellent, and the almond croissant was fresh, flaky, and buttery, with just the right amount of almond filling. A perfect companion to a good cup of coffee. One thing I liked was the seating layout. Hipster spot trying to gentrify Harlem, and play coffee house, lol. Nice aesthetic though. It is definitely someone's dream though, and I definitely respect it. Really nice place. I had a hot coffee with some pistachio flavor syrup and that was absolutely fantastic. I also had a Belgian waffle which was very good. I'd have both again if I ever end up in the neighborhood. They called me "boss", which I actually am lol, but I think he said it because I'm 42. Hah! Good food, cool people. Check them out.

Awesome coffee to be had here. I popped in on a Friday afternoon. Really enjoyed it, and although I could only get a short perch on a bench (all of the tables were occupied), it was still an enjoyable experience with a good coffee shop vibe. I’ll be back - preferably in the morning where I can set up for a bit with a book, and sample a ‘milk drink’. The double espresso was good though.
