We used to eat at the Freebirds next to the Southbay Galleria in Redondo Beach, until they closed down. This location was close but I feel that the flavor was a 4.0 compared to our old spot. Regardless, 5* for the nostalgia trip. We'll be back when we are in the area again.

I graduated out of UCSB over a decade ago and live in LA now. But still visit Freebirds at least 2-3 times a year. It’s part pilgrimage, part nostalgic. They serve straight forward Mexican burritos, bowls, nachos, tacos, and quesadillas but the ingredients are fresh (Chipotle can only dream), the taste is amazing. I highly recommend the quesadilla (insiders know you can ask for whole wheat tortilla)

Quasadilla Nachos and burito.. that too veg.. what else you need.. this place is perfect for veg options and in the middle of the student area.. easily accessible and you can eat your fav dish sitting outside the restaurant.. I liked the overall ambience..

Super tasty burrito, simple service and decor :). All the toppings/fillings were fresh, including the savory shredded beef, tomatoes, and guacamole. A nice place for a full meal in Santa Barbara.
