The breakfast was decent overall but the coffee lacked freshness. Upon requesting our coffee orders (latte and mocha) extra hot, it came out lukewarm and flat. We ordered an everything bagel and received a plain one that wasn’t toasted, seemed like it was pre made a while ago. Overall, the service felt a bit unwelcoming from initial order to mentioning about the bagel mix up. I hope future visits are warmer and they could live up to the expectations of being voted the best coffee in Maui.

Maui Coffee Roasters is a great casual stop in Kahului if you want good coffee and a relaxed local vibe. The café has a cool, artsy atmosphere with colorful tables and surf-style wall art that makes it feel very Maui. The food is fresh and simple—our sandwich came stacked with crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, and a flavorful spread on a toasted bagel, which tasted light but satisfying. We had 3 drinks in our group, 2 iced and 1 hot. Coffee seemed weak. In the iced mocha latte we saw the barista add hot water to the mocha sauce, we assume to melt it....the espresso would have done that, so this makes sense as to why the taste was off. Place is cute and island feeling inside. Very small and cramped though, was very busy. We didn't try the food, the baked goods didn't appear to be made in house. The girl taking our order could use some customer service training, she wasn't rude, just not very polite. Glad we tried it, as it was recommended, but I wouldn't go back.
