You don’t have to be poor to eat here. The owners have one restaurant on each side of Kankakee. This is the one we frequent. The food is good, the owners know us and the service is always consistently excellent at the counter. This is a former Hardee’s and it spotlessly clean on the inside. If you want fast food, this is an excellent alternative to the national chains. The gyros are very good, and the beef sandwich is as good as you’ll get in the area. I only wish the inside were open later than 8 o’clock given our busy schedules.

Whoever closed the restaurant last night left it looking emasculate today when I walked in. Every surface was spotless, tables were set with napkins. I love the food here it never disappoints. But restaurants are not ran like this anymore. Efficient and clean and always hits the spot. You have trained your staff well.

Pricey but decent food. Wing dings are really good. Recently tried the gyro plate and wasn't super impressed with the flavor but huge portion. Probably wouldn't order it again though.

This is a good to spot. Chicago dog special is a easy win every time. Good Italian beef and Italian sausage. Reasonable price and fast service.
