I've had proper barbecue in Austin, TX, and this is the closest to that I've been able to find in Miami. This is a legit, solid BBQ place with all of the staples. I will have to go back to try more, but the ribs and chicken wings were solid choices. My wife had a brisket sandwich that she loved. The cornbread is one of my favorite things too and it didn't even need the extra butter! Coleslaw can be hit or miss depending on the place for me, and this place was definitely a hit. If you're looking for a good authentic BBQ place, Shorty's is the place to go in Miami!

I was raised in Miami & had never eaten here. The food was delicious! Esp the baby back ribs. Roxy was our server and she was very sweet and attentive. We have a bunch of allergies & she made sure our orden was taken care of & ordered correctly. The manager Julian also came out to make sure they got our order correct & that it was safe to eat. High recommend eating here! The service & food were great.

Great food great service brisket was great moist tender great smoke ring slaw and corn were great as well. Thank you Denzel for the amazing service. I could smell the beautiful smokyness of this place when I stepped off the train.
