It’s an outdoor seating setup under shaded areas, and they roast the beans right next to the outdoor cafe, which creates unique atmosphere. We had high expectations based on the reviews, but honestly, it just wasn’t our style. The coffee tasted too strong and too bitter for us. However, we did hear other people around us saying “it’s sooo good!”, so I think many people would enjoy this type of coffee. It’s probably just not the best fit for those of us who prefer a more nutty, mild, and smooth flavor profile.

My husband and I decided to try Cuban Coffee Queen while in Key West. We heard good things about it and wanted to see the hype. I will say it was very touristy. The customer service was lackluster, and there was a bit of a wait. There were a few benches to sit on while you wait, but they all were preoccupied by other patrons or locals. I ordered an iced caramel coffee with oat milk and chocolate. It was okay, but we wished the added flavors were a bit more robust. Overall, it was worth a try, but idk if I’d try it again.

We were impressed with the food here. I had the burrito and my husband had the guava bread. We also got smoothies and they were very flavorful also. The food was fresh and the flavors went well together. Ive never had a burrito with rice and beans in it, but I really enjoyed it. We will visit again the next time we are in Key West.
