I enjoy a meal at Mel's quite often. Great place to meet friends for a cup of coffee and a warm pecan pie. The food is delicious. They even have a delicious chicken and sausage gumbo. The employees have been there for some time. They are all very friendly. Great service. The staff is like family. Service is quick. However sundays are very popular so you may have to wait for a seat but its so worth the wait. ☺️

Love the chicken fried steak with the heavy helping of gravy alongside the perfectly cooked potatoes and bacon. Highly recommend that! The waffles were also delicious and the service was fast and the prices were very affordable.

Food was wonderful. Typical 50s diner food and atmosphere. Unfortunately while we were there a group of young kids came in with a young child that kept screaming and made it uncomfortable for those of us that are "seniors"

First off the lady that was serving me did not smile. I wish I would have got her name. She probably was having a long day second, there’s a lot going on In Mills diner, so that was pretty cool and understandable. Why My food took so long. It’s a popular place. I like How many people was in there? It was amazing. I was looking at the menu. I wanted red beans and rice or gumbo. I asked the waiter. She didn’t even know what to tell me whenever I asked About them, she shrugged their shoulders last, but not least whenever the food came out it was freaking cold. I just wanted to leave at that point
