Best Indian food in Maine! Spicy vindaloo and garlic nann bread are my go to. I miss the lunch buffet and being able to sit inside to eat but take out is easy enough to plan ahead and grab on the way through the area. The family that owns the business and makes the food are all very nice. Everything is packaged well and ready on time. The food is consistently delicious and portions are good for the price.

Every interaction I have with them there is amazing! I adore dash mostly but there is no way I can't sit there and say that I wouldn't dine in there or order food if I knew more about the food cuz it does seem spicy, but one of these days I am going to try it but going off of my customers rave reviews! The place is great most of all the employees and the man I interact with the most are absolutely phenomenal kind generous and just easy to talk to! You can't get much better than that

Unfortunately, Mother India only offers take-out dining which is a bummer because it looks like a nice place to eat. The lady that helped us was very kind and the food was wonderful! Beware of the spice levels, they are not messing around! I got level 3 for my malai kofta but it was a bit much for me, probably because I am a spice weakling, LOL.

this is a sorry excuse for indian food. I hate saying that, but as someone who’s grown up eating Indian takeout on the reg, these prices are egregious for the quality we’re getting. using chili paste to make something flavorful doesn’t add any flavor but heat, and not cooking the paneer until it melts, or pakora fully left them tasting like rubber. also, the papadum was stale, and the sauces tasted like syrups. if you want good Indian food in this Indian-poor state, this isn’t it.
