I WENT TO SCHOOL IN BIG SANDY TX. IN MID 1990’S. The BODACIOUS BBQ CLOSE TO CAMPUS, I THINK WAS IN GLADEWATER. I could be wrong, maybe it was Henderson🙂‍↔️LONG STORY SHORT , IVE NEVER RECOVERED FROM HOW MUCH I LOVE THEIR FOOD… AND NEVER WILL. Casual atmosphere and great food! If you’re in Lufkin stop in here for some excellent BBQ. I had the turkey sandwich for lunch and it was very tasty. Their sauce is tangy and not overly sweet. Good job!

Was craving a brisket sandwich for lunch today. Had to settle for Bodacious, even though I've never had very good luck with their beef. Thought I'd give them another chance. Spent $12.98 for a brisket sandwich only. Meat and bread. Sauce (strong vinegar flavor, didn't use) on the side. Bun was not toasted. Brisket has not improved. Dry, with minimal flavor. After all these years, it stuns me that they haven't figured out how to cook brisket properly. Can't recommend. Won't be back.

This was probably the worst barbecue I’ve ever had. I spent $51 for my wife and myself and I expected to get my money’s worth. I had heard so many good things about this place so I decided to give it a try… I was extremely disappointed I ordered the 3 meat plate for myself with brisket(moist), sausage and ribs with beans and potato salad. The brisket I had to get replaced because it was extremely dry with no flavor like it was either over cooked or it’s been sitting in a food heating cabinet all day. After it was replaced it still wasn’t to my liking so I just threw it away. The potato salad t
