The place was surprisingly quiet and peaceful for a buffet perfect for actually enjoying your meal instead of rushing through it. I have been eating at Chens for about 25 years. I love that the buffet is a smaller buffet and that there is always someone cleaning and filling the food. The price is very fair and the waitresses are attentive and friendly. However, sometimes the food on the buffet can be Luke warm and I definitely don't like that. I also don't like how someone will come from the back and get food off of the buffet to fill, what I am assuming are drive thru orders.. There are only roughly 3 Chinese buffets in Lufkin with Chen's being the best in my opinion. The restaurant is clean and has a laid back atmosph

It seems to kinda be a fast food buffet. Some of the food was cold and definitely been sitting too long. The rangoons were terrible. The service was good though. They paid attention to empty drinks. Etc. No real dessert available either. Rather disappointing, imo

The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful . I've lived in the area for 30 years and Chen's is the best Chinese buffet in the area 😋
