Disappointing. Miniature Reference section, small amount of writing "how to" choices. No books on poetry "how to", or explanation on types of poetry. Otherwise nice book store. Clever displays and super helpful staff. If you're there for about any other books you will not be so disappointed....

This McAllen B&N is excellent - I would venture to say it's better than the ones in San Antonio. Very nicely laid out, lots to see, loads of variety & knowledgeable staff who are also friendly & helpful. The cafe is also clean & has a good selection. If you are a book lover or wish to buy a present this is a great choice, plus they carry a wide assortment of gifts, toys & stationary as well. Very nice. Highly recommended.

Barnes and Noble bookstore off of highway in McAllen. This bookstore is nicely organized and clean. Lots of new books and magazines. The children's section has amazing books for the children and toddlers. Restrooms were clean. There is a Starbucks inside this bookstore
