Absolutely loved my meal here. The flavor, freshness, and drinks was all amazing. Honestly some of the best tacos and one of the best drinks if not the best here. Nice patio with ambiance. Super friendly attentive waiter. Will be back!!

Visited the area with my boyfriend and planned to come here based on reviews and a friend’s recommendation. We showed up right after they opened with no reservation on a Tuesday night. I had a michelada to drink and it was the best tasting outside of the southwest I’ve had. For food, we split the birria enchiladas special and it was pleasantly flavorful. Each bite was better than the last. It was served with dollops of guac on top and a side of delicious rice. We also ordered every taco on the menu to try and was blown away by how much flavor each one had. My top two favorite were the Churrasco and the Campechano Del Mar. Boyfriend and I were extremely happy with coming here and plan on returning to try more of their menu. Fabulous service and phenomenal food!

Food and drinks were fantastic! Couldn’t decide so we ending up getting a little of everything. The menu has lots of seafood, gluten free, and Mexican options. I would say the dishes are elevated and unique from other spots. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a different taste and experience than more standard Mexican restaurants.

Top quality dinner with friends. From the warm and friendly greeting, to the relatively small and cozy space itself, the meal experience here is top class and relaxed. All the food was very fresh and very tasty. The salmon was amongst the best I've had. Was lucky enough to sample my friends' dishes and can attest to the pork, the Romana salad and the Cazuela being equally sensational. Capped things off with the Capirotada, the perfect end to the meal. Cocktails were as good as the food. Creative and tasty, with a good variety of tastes for everyone. Service was perfect. Parking can be a little dicey, but that's the only concern. A very highly recommended restaurant.

Absolutely superb dining experience. We’re still talking about it a week later so I had to write up a review. We walked in last Saturday with a party of 5 no reservation (our bad) but they sat us almost immediately at the bar, which we loved! The bartender, Dylan, made us each some great cocktails and took our food orders carefully, as we had some allergies in the group, but he was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us navigate. See photo for the absolutely diabolically delicious tacos. Also heard from my friend that the Mole was to die for. We ended the night with tequila shots and then were on our merry way after a fantastic start to the evening, thanks to La Dama. Anywho, we loved it and would highly recommend!! Thank you La Dama!!!

La Dama was an amazing experience! My friends and I showed up without a reservation, and the staff was nice enough to let us take over their bar seating. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, from the margarita to the guac. My entree, the Pollo en Mole Verde, was a truly unique and creative dish that I’ve never had something close to before. Would highly recommend if you are in the area and are willing to spend a little extra for some amazing food!

La Dama is a beautiful spot with a warm vibe, a great back patio, and a menu full of thoughtful flavor. We came on a Tuesday and definitely recommend it — $5 margaritas and $5 off guac were a nice bonus and a great way to kick things off! The guacamole was super fresh with radish and tomato for a little texture - simple, clean, and well-seasoned. The margs were solid too, not too sweet at all. The real standout was the Salmon Encrustado… perfectly cooked, juicy, and paired with beet purée and hibiscus reduction that actually brought the whole dish together. Would 100% order again. The Cochinita Pibil had a beautiful presentation, but flavor-wise, it just didn’t stand out. Not bad, just not memorable. I appreciated how accommodating the kitchen was with my food allergies on the Cazuela de Repollitos y Hongos. The flavors were great - especially the pomegranate and chimichurri! the dish was a little too oily for my taste but tasty nonetheless-the-less. We also tried the birria tacos

This is the finest upscale Mexican restaurant in Milwaukee and probably Wisconsin. I can only compare it to Rick Bayless’s Frontera Grill or Topolobampo in Chicago. The food is extraordinary, drawing on various regional Mexican traditions from the bright flavors of Yucatán to the deep complexity of Oaxaca. The service is very friendly and informative (shout out to Giselle), and the atmosphere carries over all the intimacy and charm of the late great Crazy Water. My favorite dish was the the Tlayudita De Setas, which features Roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, Oaxaca quesillo, sikil pak (toasted pumpkin & habanero spread), avocado crema, and salsa macha, on a crispy fresh roasted corn tortilla base. Incredible! Also, it’s hard to beat the three taco plate- the grilled beef on the churrasco taco is something you’ll remember forever! This place is a gem,and Milwaukee is lucky and blessed to have it.
