I have to assume all of these five star reviews are coming from people who never got to experience Steak 'n Shake before it was purchased by Biglari Holdings. The food is still tasty, but the new iteration of Steak 'n Shake is unrecognizable from before. All of the warmth and charm I remember is gone. You order from a kiosk. They may or may not bring your food out to your table. They removed a bunch of options from the menu. Don't worry, though. They did add a new item: the "Bitcoin Burger". Blech. Stopped in really quick while charging our car. We had an awesome experience a few months ago so it’s become a nice place for a quick dinner. The staff has changed along with the atmosphere. When we arrived it was just my husband and I…simple order with 2 burgers. Unfortunately they completely mixed up the two orders. We ordered 2 totally sandwiches - one with no cheese due to allergies. We didn’t have time to wait for them to fix it so I ended up just throwing mine away. This is the best meal I’ve had at any Steak and Shake. The staff were friendly, brought me my food (dine-in) and asked for anything else. The manager also stopped by to make sure things were good. My food was made with care, you can just tell. I will definitely be back. The picture is of a worker cleaning each chair with care during their downtime. I’m impressed.

The floor was very sticky at the entrance with a caution sign, however the stickiness was felt throughout the restaurant. It took a while to place the order, as one of the kiosks was not working, creating a bit of a line. This created an extra wait time for receiving your order with only two employees working at the time. Besides the atmosphere, food was great, fries seasoned well and a sweet cold shake to go with it.
